AMERICA'S TOUGHEST JOBS challenges 13 people to break free from their safe and comfortable careers and experience some of the most gruelling jobs on the planet. The gutsy competitors try their hand at a range of roles including; logging in Oregon, oil drilling in Texas, crab fishing in Alaska's Bering Sea and truck driving on the perilous Alaskan highway. Reporting to a different expert boss each week, who judges their performance and eliminates the weakest challenger, the contestants must draw on every ounce of stamina and continually raise their game to avoid being sent home. It is not just pride at stake. The yearly salary for each job is thrown into the prize pot for the toughest competitor to take away along with the glory.
